Ophone, now acquired by its competitor Shippeo, is a platform specialized in real-time tracking of shipments. Powered by AI and machine learning, the solution enables companies to optimize their logistics operations, track their shipments in real-time, and anticipate potential delays.
About
Ophone is a real-time visibility platform providing insights and forecasts for all modes of transportation.
As a newly established company, it had a small client base and relied on a simple solution. The project aimed to create a user-friendly experience in a complex business context.
As the designer, I was responsible for UX research and UI design. I collaborated with the Ophone team and a Product Manager, organizing design thinking workshops and working directly with industry stakeholders.
I developed functional wireframes and interactive prototypes, enabling us to visualize and iterate on concepts to create an intuitive interface despite the complexity of the field.

Facilitation
Within the scope of this project, it was crucial to design a user experience (UX) tailored to the diversity of roles within the transportation sector, enabling each user to perform their tasks efficiently and ergonomically within a single platform
Easy onboarding
One of the constraints of this project was that the future users were individuals with little affinity for new technologies and were not accustomed to digital solutions. Therefore, it was necessary to provide support and facilitation for the use of the solution
Business Conventions
Another major imperative was to consider the specific codes and terms inherent to each profession within the sector, as each of them has its own conventions and terminologies that needed to be integrated into the final solution
Approach
In the initial phase, the approach adopted for this project involved conducting a comprehensive audit of the existing solution to analyze its already established functionalities.
Subsequently, we conducted user interviews with various professional categories within the transportation sector, the end users of the solution, with the aim of understanding their challenges, needs, and work processes.
Once all insights were gathered, we organized extensive design thinking sessions, bringing together stakeholders from each profession within the sector, to collectively converge towards a solution adaptable to all user profiles.
During these workshops, which I supervised, we collaborated with all stakeholders, as well as several developers involved in the project, to co-create the wireframes of the solution. This approach enabled us to generate prototypes and iterate until arriving at the final solution.

Furthermore, this experience has enhanced my skills in facilitating design workshops, navigating a variety of challenges within a single solution, and approaching these challenges empathetically to achieve a clear, concise, and effective solution.
Subsequently, the platform experienced notable success, leading to a significant increase in user numbers, thereby strengthening the position of key players in the transportation sector. Additionally, this solution was acquired by the industry leader, Shippeo
